As part of its unwavering commitment to sustainability, Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS) proudly supported the RAM Conference 2024, Advancing An Inclusive & Sustainable Future: Spotlight on Sarawak, organised by Rating Agency Malaysia (RAM) which was held on 19 November 2024, at Sheraton Hotel, Kuching.
Key topics of the conference include Empowering Sustainable Growth through Financing by Mr Yeoh Teik Leng (AmInvestment), Green Solutions for Malaysian Companies (panel session discussion), Green Funding & Triple Bottom Line Debate (panel session discussion), Current Trends in Sustainable Finance by Mr. Gabriel Wong (MVGX Tech Pte Ltd), Sarawak’s Economic Development – Sustainable and Inclusive by YBhg Dato Sri Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Bin Zaidel (Deputy State Secretary), Pioneers of Green – Challenges & Success by Hajah Siti Aisah Adenan (SEB) and Powering Entrepreneurship – Inclusive Financing (panel session discussion).
Attended by approximately 300 delegates, the event was also supported by Sarawak Government and received sponsorship from leading financial institutions and organisations, including AmBank Group, Maybank Investment Group, MVGX (Digital Green Exchange & Climate Solution Provider), AFFIN Bank, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, Sarawak Energy Berhad, Bank Islam, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
Highlight of the event was the presence and keynote address by The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, the Premier of Sarawak.
YAB Premier was honoured with the “Sustainability Steward of the Year” award and three other “RAM Sustainability Awards” were also presented to Press Metal Sarawak, Sarawak Energy Berhad and Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad.
